First off, is it worth buying the new Platinum edition? Yes, I bought a DSi randomly a few months ago, Yes it is true that I haven't topped even 10 hours on that shit yet and Yes, I'm a noob when it comes to Nintendo's handhelds, I wanna put some emulators and stuff on it like the PSP.

I don't expect anyone to answer my questions in full, but the first one would do nicely..

easy man, no one is downplaying the awesomeness or comparing a GBC to a DS they're all good.

if you like pokemon and don't have pearl or diamond yes platinum is worth it.

as dope as DSi is, it is not compatible with the R4 which is the best [illegal] part of DS where you can take DS games AKA roms you downloaded...put them on a micro SD card and play them without having to pay for them. unfortunately, i have not heard of an R4 that functioning reliably but they may be out there.

if you need more recommendations just post and let me know what you're into, i've played all the best DS has to offer.

Ahh, maybe i'll just have to wait for the crack then, i'll keep an eye on that then.

RPG's, I haven't really played nowt else on a handheld DS/or PSP. So far, for my DSi, I've got Chinatown Wars and Chrono Trigger. I was looking into getting a FF game (don't know what one to go for though..) and the new Pokemon Platinum, I haven't played any Pokemon games since Yellow dropped a looong time ago mind ha.
Besides the host of RPG's Nintendo possesses, I'm not sure what else is worth getting to keep me glued to my DS, literally playing it through cramps and the like.

yup but auto save is a no go on chinatown wars. switch to manual, i duds and i complete, that being the only minor i have.
no need to update on acekard 2. "it is what it is". i hear that some of the r4's don't even work, lot of fakes

barnes why the hate man? you own a ds? so many wicked games on the system

new super mario bros, and mario kart are both great. advance wars is great if you like RTS. platinum will blow your mind but it's gonna be like culture shock after having played yellow. it's a pretty safe bet that anything that received an 8.0 or higher on ds.ign.com is worth your time.

my r4 works fine, certainly not worth buying an acekard, and i think i'll just drop the dough [eventually] for GTA.

own a DSi...
with some DSiWare games (all of those art style games and dr mario - of course)
and cardridges:
- GTA: Chinatown Wars
- Pokémon Platin
- Advance Wars: Dark Conflict
- The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

(...as you can see ... only the BIIIIG ONES)

would love to have some wi-fi pokemon action with a ST-member

Scribblenauts

OH MAN! scribblenauts is going to be the ultimate DS game... you just have to solve simple situation by writing anything you want! for example:
there is something hanging on a tree. and you have to get it down. you can write anything you want to get it down there: an axe, a football, a stone, a monster, a dolphin, god, einstein, a strong man on a skateboard who has an chainsaw in his right hand.... everything you think of and it appears on your screen. ign.com or so did a list of things they tried out at e3 2009 and the only thing that didn't work was "obama"

I've had this for some time now, and I have to say, besides a bass instrument, this softsynth is not very expressive. Do you find a problem in trying to apply polyphony ACCURATELY when playing live on the same synth1/2?

my DS usage and versatility has officially blown my mind...

R4 users stand up for this one. (this may not be a surprise to some of you)

Game On!
