The defaut rules are:
- 1 beat per person (2 mins or under)
- Upload a 128kbps 44.1 kHz MP3, not m4a with YOUR NAME in the file name eg 'Gary Glitter - My Gang.mp3'
- outside drums and bass allowed
- no outside keys
- use the sample that is in the drop to make your beat, no outside sample
- vocal cuts/skits are allowed
- you need to submit a beat or be a member here for at least 2 weeks to vote

you should upload your beat to http://drop.io/stmbbattle120 by 23.59 Thursday, June 18th. Voting until 23.59 Friday the 19th (all times NYC)

whattup. dropped my beat, I may have accidentally selected 128kVBR instead of straight bitrate, but it sounds like drop.IO resamples, and runs my track thru a low pass filter.. I can re-up a straight 128k instead if need be.

Oh sheeeit. Drop.IO resamples the shit to 96K! Thats why it sounds so ass-tastic. Even on the podcasts, the downloads are at 96.

i just thought of it as a guideline so people don't put up beats that are like 5 minutes, i mean is 30 seconds really that bad? You can always make a second drop site, I'll shorten mine if whoevers admin deletes it.

ya, taking a look around yours it still 2mb big. others have 1:30 beats that are 2mb.
