ok so im sure its pretty much an overall wash that most peeps do not like or enjoy most or all mainstream rap.

but there are tunes and acts here and there that I dont mind.

Like T.I. he seems to put out good tunes.

Young Joc, I like his flow, I would like to hear him on some underground production but his shit is so catchy it kinda fits mainstream.

Any others besides the neptunes and timbaland and why?

from what ive heard of Slim Thug he's dead good.... his spot on "whamp whamp" was great and "like a boss" is a massive tune. is dizzee Rascal mainstream??? i still like his albums.

Curious as to why make the seperation??

I know subject matter is way different and that there is an obligation for "major label" acts to write radio friendly/club hits....

If fools can bust they can bust.

Busta Rhymes...what is he considered?? Em?? These are dudes with "ReAL" underground upbringings but are pretty commercially successful.

Either which....my answers I suppose are in the post about fav rappers not on stones throw...Fifty got that flow too....not on hit the majority of the time but he can kill it. So can Juelz Santana and Lil Wayne...tho they are not consistent. Actually Weezy is most consistent of the 3. Cam'ron got some shit too....

HOV is hot for sure...but I aint convinced. I have had this argument with some old homie many times. Dude kinged the rap game as far as business..hell what other rapper you know is President of one of the most influential if not most, hip hop labels of all time.

Man can rap...but the whole thing with him freestyling all songs....I think this may be true...but I also think, as much as it is toted as his strength it is also his weakness. Imagine if he took the time to plan that shit out and write it...you can see that it would be free'd because alot of the rhyming syllables/words are the same and there isn't much more to it...he is tight, dont get me wrong, but I think he could do better.

Nas is the nastiest in regards to MC's...

hmmm, i dont know, freestyles can bring out the best flows, often the first take can sound the best. Some rappers who plan a little too much sound exactly that a little to precise.

ANyow, I like his flow better than Nas'

I listen to the beats first then about 2min into the song I hear the mainstream artist. If the beat is crap I dont hear any of the song.

Peace
