Ha! Moog records are fun shit. I don’t have too many, but are definitely good to have around. Penciface, that’s a good cross section of classics, that LP in the top right corner has an iconic cover, I read something about that one on a blog some where, waxidermy or something. This one may be cheating a bit, since Tomita used other synths to make this, but he used the Moog plenty throughout. For those who don’t know, his deal was to make electric music that was good enough to prove to the mainstream world that synths/Moogs and all other related equipment weren’t simply toys, but could make serious music. This one is pretty fun, get’s pretty spacey at points.

Dope stuff!

Yeah it seems like some of the best moog or synth stuff is found on other records. This is the perfect example

I found that Dick Hyman synth solo on a jazz album by Bill Watrous.Tell me that's not the dopest moog solo ever

Aside from my tech's, I also have an old cabinet record player in the living room with a 16 setting below the 33 1/3 and it's a prime tempo for some of that shit....sounds insane.

nice!

Here are 3 volumes of synth stuff I got off dusty records and cassettes.,,,,don't ask what the hell is on there LOL
There's anything from the GOLDORAK theme to that little Dick Hyman solo.I think it's over an hour per volume. The annoying thing is that it's a bunch of tracks for an hour straight. All this music is separated in 3 volumes
I promise you'll love all this crap...........here you go I call these "Taki76 is HOOKED ON SYNTHS"

While digging recently I picked this joint up, though not a Moog record I thought it would fit in here nicely. Powell played Arp synths on here with only a clavichord and piano to add in. Powell was one of those early cats who was fucking with all the synths and Moog machines coming out, this album is basically a promo album for the Arp company showing off all you could do with four Arp’s used: 2500, Soloist, 2600 and the Odysseys. Best enjoyed with blotter.

Maybe there was no moog used on this album, but a good synth album.
Bought this sealed about a month ago at a thrift store for a quarter.

Yo, I have that Plantasia LP! Shit is good stuff, super fun to listen to, has some nice samples in it as well. The book that goes with it is a trip too, the idea that the LP was given out free with sales of mattresses or something like that shows your what's wrong with sales marketing today! That Moog Indigo LP is the shit, would like to have it in the collection.

Word, I didn't know about the book. Definitely a cool concept record, and I agree with the fact that it's full of samples.

Ya, the book has a few paragraphs that go with each song, talking about how to take care of specific plants then it has a section with plant symptoms showing the causes and cures, truly a kick ass concept record if ever there was one. “Music to soothe the savage Snake Plant” is where it’s at!
Also, that Theremin video that Taki posted is dope, I want one of those thangs!
