i really can't pick a favourite, it's like saying "which is the best herbie hancock lp / song". well some days I bump "The Prisoner", other days it has to be "Headhunters", other days I'm in that "I thought it was youuuuuuuuuu..." type mood. I really, honestly, think madlib is one of the few artists of the last 10 years that has been consistently good in the things he's released, poured a lot of fun and emotion into his work, and the results will stand the test of time, and this discussion will still be happening in 2050 or whatever.

damn its crazy how noone even mentions the album he did under the DJ Rels alias. Just wondering what others on this board thought of the album.

horrible...... That's what... Not a massive broken beat fan, and it's not even good broken beat... Like the fact he tried something different though....

ANDSOITISAID... Pick that up..... also got kankick beats on, lovely LP....

Besides Keni Burke's "Risin to the top" what else did Madlib sample on "Pyramids (Change)" (BK vol. 1) ? That beat is just fabulous...

It is hard to pin down one great one, but "Blunted in the Bombshelter" is truly fantastic. A great mix of Trojan Dub.

DJ Rels is a great work as well...

He co-produced it with Kankick and Oh No. The Oxnard Trinity in full effect. Damn imagine if those 3 guys decide to put a project together.

well, to get real specific,

theres a track (i think its unreleased) called "we on point" that is a must hear in my opinion. that beat is seriously hard.

Can you even get more specific? i'm rather curious.

Artist: Madlib
song: We on point

Where did you heard this unreleased?

There is a lot Madlib did, and a lot of that is super

those 2 x 7" Earth Breaks

one of my favourite Madlib songs is Pyramids of the vol 1.2 Movie scenes
And that Uncommon (common's i got a right ta) remix on Mind Fusion vol.1-----> anyone know where to get the instrumental or?

Pyramids (Change) is a fabulous beat. It was the 1st Madlib beat I fell in love with. It'll always remain in my Madlib beats top 5 . The We On Point joint I've found it on soulseek. It was on some unreleased material compilation with other joints like Green Power (Original Version) and Greed with Grand Vis (with a segment of Grand the Visitor (Homeliss Derilex)'s 2nd verse on the Cash Money 12' ). I included both songs in my Madlib mix.
