I'm moving from the US to Ontario in the next week. Will this be a crucial mistake? :(

WOW - some say the health care system is better in Canada while others say it's an absolut travesty...

If anything at least you'll be able to dodge the national ID card thats supposed to be issued in may 2008. that's warranted enough to get out of this country if this card becomes mandatory. Your drivers lisence will be as usefull as a collgege id if this new government card becomes mandatory.

i know prescriptions won't kill your wallet, and brutal acts of violence are significantly less frequent in comparrison to the states.

According to Michael Moore Canadians own twice the amount of fire arms in comparison to the states. YET, there are less acts of murder invovling guns???? hmmmmm???

We all know it can get cold round there but doesn't chicago get a little brick????

I'd say good luck. Seems like it can be a great change in your life!!!!

be well :( - best of luck!

Canda also seems more UNION oriented. Republicans would love to see all unions obliterated. That is a major bonus for Canada (pro union in comparison to Bush land). Considering outsourcing and our beloved nafta has had a severe financial impact on the gool ol' apple pie country, maybe i'll move in a couple of years.......

It's fine here but you might think it's boring, depending on where you are coming from. It's not like dead or nothin though. Were just limited in terms of certain things. Just like how on iTunes Canada they don't have Stones Throw releases (hi jank)

and oh shit..theres gonna be a national id card in 08 in the states? uh oh...here we go

i dont really get the whole canada vs. the states thing.... seems like the americans hate the canadians but why? is there a historic reason? i mean... here we grew up hatin' on germans because of WWII, but it doesn't seem like you guys got a reason like that. not that i'm sayin hating for reasons like that is okay, but it happens. My grandparents refuse to travel to or through germany because of shit like that. But nowadays it's changed, now USA is the new nazi regime and people hate that shit. My girlfriend hates USA because of bush and she refuses to go there(at least while bush is the boss).. i know a lot of people who feel like that. it's sad

Klay Doe movin' to T.O.? From Florida...Well there will be a significant climate change, though at the moment we are having a nice mild, snowless December. I don't think youll have any sort of culture shock or nothing like that. We got beach here in Toronto but it ain't no Florida beach. The dollars weaker than US. We got the night life, the entertainment, the women, great restaurants, good transit system, our sports teams aren't the best but we represent(you'll have to learn to love hockey or pretend to), free health care, Canadian gov't is a bit fucked but I think that's to be said where ever you go, good economy, great music scene, a very diverse cultural scene, good schools, overall polite people, and as our provincial logo states "Ontario, yours to discover." Drive an hour north out of town and you've got forests and lakes. I think that's a pretty accurate statement, "...your's to discover". All in all, it's a pretty decent place. I've tried to leave 2wice, and I'm still here.

When are you making the move? You got anyone up here?
