Been a while since I've listened to this, "Wouldn't it be nice" reminds me of when my relic of a heart once kicked with some sort of curious joy...a little homo there...I know...

How the F did I not know more about Freddie Hubbard before I coped a new album of his. Obviously I had a bunch or records he was on, Maiden Voyage being one of my favs, but man he seems to be underrated to me...

Red Clay and Gibraltar are two  of my favourite jazz tracks ever. check 'em in you don't know 'em He's a legend.

I picked up this this one he's on from 1980, cost me half a euro in mint condition, has some cheesy crap on there, but some really nice moments too, great intros. Space invaders is definitely sampleable, although i think i read that Mr Mouzon is highly anti-sampling.

RED CLAY.....

i hadn't heard that version before. nice. this is the one i meant... for me it's all about ron carter on bass.

man, those cti records had some heavyweight line-ups.

this is the one tribe used though. i'd love to find a copy i can afford.

Man, Ron Carter is EVERYwhere! it is amazing how many records he is on. I grab any $1 records I can find with him on it (or any name I recognize)

yo, STMB fam-- help me out.

i really wanna start exploring Brazilian music, but idk where to start.  i've been on a major bossa nova kick lately, but i have no clue about the genre (or any of the others in Brazilian music) beyond the few tracks i've heard in passing.  all i have in my library is some Sergio Mendes, an Azymuth album, a comp with dudes like Emilio Santiago, and that one lady that sings the "Aguas de Marco" track on those old Coke commercials.  so i need some recommendations from you guys...

look up J thyme on google and blog comes up with some albums... not really the best albums for sampling, but it has some shit in there....

go to youtube type in 100 brazilian albums... then a video pops up by superflyrecords.. you can check album covers and do searches for the songs they have

besides that we're in the same boat brother.
