Anybody fuqqs with Warren Zevon? If you go passed werewolves of london, his shit is a whole 'nother level Rock. Linda Rondstadt got a couple of hits from him.

I'm listening to Splendid Isolation right now, which gets its name from 18th Century British Isolationist policies lol

couple other favorites: Carmelita, Poor Poor Pitiful Me, Lawyers Guns and Money, Boom Boom Mancini, Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner

Stress free hip-hop that has lasted the test of time and the devolving of the genre-done the way it was supposed to: all vinyl with butter blends and swell scratches: https://archive.org/...opMixshow060115

I'm currently listening to three different alums before beginning a song that'll e on my next album. FFS, the collab between Franz Ferdinand, Earl Sweatshirt's album I Don't Like Shit (ever since Death Grips, the mind of the introverted or the possibly mentally ill has always worried and fascinated me, and I admit, I have been pretty averse to the hip-hop side of the Odd Future crew) and (speaking of mentally ill) Vince Grant's EP My Depression is Always Trying to Kill Me, which was recommended by AbsolutePunk.

After that, I get started on my hbrv2 record.

my dad is manic depressive, so I don't appreciate this fucking faddy bullshit where every anemic cocksucker with a Shure thinks because he's sad he gets to vent

If you want to make art out of depression, go put 300 empty coca-cola bottles surrounded by McDonalds bags in MOMA, that's all it is. Everything else is hyper-inflated suburban misery and if I ever make it, I'm punching them

"oh im depressed so im gonna make 'blue' music"

Fuck. Off.

I loved that joint. Seems like just yesterday. Don't know who produced it but it had remnants of buckshot.

GP Bear all of the best painters were antic depressives. One of our best presidents.

I feel for your pa.
Miles Davis was on junk when he made that horn bleed.

Manics just see the world and more bs than the normal person.
Van Gogh was the illest because he provided you with something you could feel.
Musically Billie Holliday had a lot of manic overtures. Can't get away from it.

Heather B! RIP Scott La Rock

that's all I got left hahaha

Yeah, as time goes on it'll be weird what people in history get labeled as mentally. I wonder if it'll get to the point where all these "entertainers" even today who seem to be un-balanced (faces covered in tattoos) will be looked on as if we were putting mentally ill people on display. Considering the overwhelming amount of people in showbiz who go to rehab, I would not doubt it.
