This record came out wile I was on vacation in L.A.
The date was 4.18.2006.
two days before the 4.20 show at the conga room.

picked up the cd and 7" @ amoeba...
put the cd on in the rental car,
but I just wasn't ready for it. (It didn't really fit the moment)

I wanted to sneak off from my friend at night and listen to it with some headphones on..

then the 4.20 show came with peanut butter wolf, egon, D.P. and georrgia anne.

They killed it
I had some much fun singing along (with the few songs I already new - funky dudly, testin me..) and dancing and basicly freking out

a very good show

so anyways, I was flying back to Chicago from vegas, so we had to drive back to my friend house in vegas. so as soon as we got a little out of l.a. we fired up some of cali's finest and put on dudley.

I swear, the music is so beautiful.

on the inside sleeve it says somthing like " this music is good for you...this music cures colds"

excellent production by madlib and great lyrics and singing by dudley.

anyone notice the recycled MED verse?

he'as not even listed on any of the tracks

oh yeah... speal check

i was waiting for someone to comment on this one...

so good.

i love the direction dudley is going.

i mean.. after conversations w/ dudley what can a man do?

that shit is both spiritual and apocalyptic

expressions is a masterpice imo

the only "skippable" track is the one called last song.
(i was listening @ work and the boos was like WTF?)

i like the new oh no but i think this is a little better.
i just wished oh no rhymed a little more on exodus...

it makes me appreciate the disrupt even more...

still lovin t.biggums...

but man...i love that old school feel of expressions
plain ol hip hop for hip hops sake bores me sometimes

Aye, this album basically SAVED ME during some rough times.
I was goin' through all kinds of shit when I broke up with my ex, my Uncle passed, then my Aunt passed, then I'd just throw Expressions on and spark some La' and I'd be Okay.
Sounds weird, but that dudes on some other shit.
I'M ALREADY WAITIN' ON SOME OTHER SHIT FROM MR. PERKINS.
Still bump it Faithfully to this day!

Plus dude must have first pick at Madlibs joints, because every since "and so it is said" dudes been blessed with some of madlibs finest.....but yeah, on the real, when I first peeped a dudly track, it caught me off gaurd like one of the homies just stole on me, but then it was like damn, this shit is beautiful. Like the homie said up top, listning to "dear God" when goin through some ruff times, definetly helps. Peace.
