Ehhh.......that's a renunion tour I will be saving my money on

Honestly, their visions as a group are so different now it probably won't be nearly what I would be expecting. Look how long it took them to get back together, this was suppose to have been in the works like 2-3 years ago.

And from what I was reading Phife seems like the only one who was down in the beginning since Tip thinks he's a DIVO now.

Is that you, beat conductress, from the old STMB?

Yeah...I hope the tribes intentions are good ...

I just going for a good time..

we'll see ...maybe they have some new material..

about q -- he should be ashamed of his little violation.

i'll forgive him

Yeh, their vision may have changed but A Tribe Called Quest has influened Hip Hop in such a big way. It's undeniable. And to this day they have some of the greatest songs in Hip Hop history! Classic.
The Low End Theory is one of the best albums ever.

I read that the Denver show was cancelled because phife is under the weather.
It will be rescheduled for sometime in Oct.

I have tickets for the show in Atlantic City but I dont think I'm going because I have an
early flight out of Newark the next day.
So if any NY NJ PA heads are looking for tickets get at me. I have 2.

And yeah... Low End Theory is def top 5 albums of all time. To me anyway.

Word you were there?

Yea, I was at that Conga Room show it was a last minute thing.

I was glad I didn't have to stand in that long ass line other than that it was "aight". It's amazing how packed ST shows get now from before.

We were actually super tired that night so we shook before Madlib's set.

One of my friends mentioned the Knitting Factory show but I prolly had something too do

i didn't really get to see LA's bogus side.

got put up every night - didn't have to pay for any hotel rooms....

went to all the record stores

we did see one actor - michael rappaport.

he was at that conga room show

the people i was with out there were like damn...you're from chicago and you know about all this shit going on.

i guess it was part luck and part doing my homework....

how are those aloe blacc parties every sunday?

that record - ricky martin meets nelly...
really sad

Micheal Rappaport has been spotted a few times at ST shows so has Frodo aka Elijah Wood...........

Yea looks like you did your research you knew more going down that week than me. I guess I'm lucky because I can catch an ST show pretty much anytime

I dunno, I really have no comment on Aloe Blacc...honestly

have fun...

it was sponsered by 2k7 sports...

you can get your game on if the opening acts blow....

chicago got rhymefest and the procussions (yawn)

tribe played all the classics... jerobi was there too

the show was packed ...im not sure how many people the congress holds
maybe 2 or 3 thousand or more

huge show...

kinda muddy sound

but overall a good vibe put out by the tribe

expensive drinks $6 miller , $7 hi na kin, $8 mixed drinks
oh well

and no smoking in the entire building. (that rule was broken)

i was gonna see tribe last night at the congress, but at 52 ducks for a ticket, 10 for a train, plus some for a cab or bus it just wasnt worth it to spend the night with my own broke ass.

i'd be interested in a report from anyone that saw em last night though.

so...you're from the chicagoland area?

edan is playing the empty bottle on thursday.
you cannot miss this

i saw edan in the spring with prefuse 73.

one of the best live acts
he really takes his time and puts love into his music and it shows

about tribe last night...I was wrong...
the tickets were $58 with service charges and all that..

as far as a report...This was a huge show, thousands of people going nuts..getting rowdy..
i really cant remember the setlist...
lets see..they played oh my god, vibes and stuff, award tour, buggin out, show business, everythin is fair, scenairo -- oh that was pretty funny.. for bustas part they cut the music and let the crowd sing his full verse by the end of the verse nobdy was in unison.."rraahh rrraahh like a ..."
they also did award tour, sucka nigga, bonita applebaum, can i kick it, phoney rappers, i can't really remember what else...

like i said, the sound wasn't the greatest, but the vibe was there -- everybody in the place was moving.

there was a moment of silence for dilla...

uhh.. maybe if DeezNuts sees this he can eloborate....

after the show he asks" what did you smoke in there? you guys got down syndrom"
i was pretty drunk
i was drinking these triple shots if barcadi..
and a few beers...

Incredible show at a so so venue. The sound system sucked! But Tribe was on point. They really seemed happy to be there and really had a good vibe with each other. True performers. The highpoint was a THREE WAY BEAT
BOX EXTRAVAGANZA. They were flowing and beat boxing back and forth and the shit sounded like stereophonic
deluxe colorsound or some shit. Low point is that my suede dunks got stained because the place was packed....Argh

Nice to hear the good reports on the show(s). Guess I have something to look forward to tomorrow. Honestly I thought it was a cash grab with the ridiculous price of tickets, $60+.!?! I paid 30 dollars less 10 years ago when they were here last and that included the price of admission to Canadas Wonderland where they played with Busta, Cypress, and Ziggy Marley :P . Anyway there's an after party too, another $20 to get into so you can ask Tip "what's up wit' da boots on ya feet?'" Anyway thanfully I'm only paying half for the ticket, friend had an extra asked me last minute, sweet. See ya there tomorrow, we got Rhymefest and the Procussions as well as openers, I expect the place to be packed like a tokyo subway during rush hour B) Report to follow.
