Whenever I go on an edigging phase, I'm afraid the post office is gonna freak. I live in an apartment and they usually can't fit more than 2 or 3 records in my pathetic mailbox so they have to come back to refill once I actually remember to get the mail. I'm usually too fucked up to walk the entire 50 feet to the mailbox, then I gotta fucks with the keys and shit...

lol you get too fucked up to even walk to your mailbox?

got this still sealed.

R-4581029-1369009102-4296.jpeg

Does anyone think it might be worth something or should I use it for sampling? I checked Discogs and other places and it seems really rare. Not sure if that makes this one valuable or if just nobody wants it.

thers's one for sale on discogs for 20 euros.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolero

boleros are usually pretty shitty, so if you don't like it I'm sure you can turn a profit on it.

edit: nice cleavage though

They were not expensive at all.....paid less then 30 for all of them, I could be missing a few, but i've got Hip Harp, Dorothy's Harp, Afro Harpping, In A Minor Groove, The Rubuiyat or however you spell it and like 3 others... and this was in Brooklyn.

If they're all OG and clean, that's a couple hundred bucks in value.  Easy.

scored 12 records at Goodwill. All in NM- to VG+ shape, 2 bucks each. Don Rickles Hello Dummy is this first one to go on. Some Ramsey Lewis stuff, Ahmad Jamal's Heat Wave and some other random, weird stuff...

EDIT: Ahmad's album is pretty good so far. I love that there is SO MUCH music to be had and explore in the dollar (or two dollar bins)...

I just lucked out to find a yard sale in park slope... some older dude and he comes out every now and then to sell a few other things... I got his number... He let me check his basement the day I got the Jack Dejohnette... i'm sure it's all original stuff, he said he did most of his collecting when he was a teen up to his 30s.... so i'm guessing the 50's to late 70's

i'm supposed to go back soon, but I want to hit up a few thrift shops first... I remember seeing something around my way in East NY, but I can't remember which place had it....I tried to start a NY Meet up thread for cats to link up and go digging together, but all I got was sarcasm... probably better to keep my spots to myself anyway though lol

the season premiere of Louie really got me wanting to explore more Brazilian music, specifically bossa-nova and other laidback genres like that.  unfortunately, South-American records are hard to come by in metro Denver...at least as far as i know.

Shit is fire, found it a few months back and it's one of the few records I ripped and listen to the mp3s at work.  Awesome tracks on there.  I have a bunch of Dejohnette records I bought after hearing Sorcery.  He's a super underrated artist, lots of featured drum recordings on many dope albums.  I even found a couple of private pressings he played on pressed with small jazz groups local to Portland.
