I'm of course talking about the amazing mc who guested on MF DOOM's "Anti Matter" and "Rap Snitch Knishes".

Trying to find out who and where he is has become a fairly popular topic over the last few years on various Hip Hop forums, and so far nobody has been able to learn anything.

The most information anyone has come across is that he possible lived in Florida, and at one point there was a single interview done with him on a random Hip Hop site that has since seemingly been lost.

Dude only had a few guest appearances to his name, but he made a huuuuge impact on everyone who head him. I've literally seen people who hate DOOM's music with every fiber of their being stop and ask about who this dude was because he absolutely beast his verses.

Thought it might be fun for us all to pull together and see what we can learn. I know some of the Stones Throw staff post here as well, and it seems like if anyone were to be in a position to unearth this dude it would be these boards.

So there you have it fella's. I've seen this board hear .5 seconds of a random sample and someone track that joint down to some random south African cassette tape that only one person in the world owns (kidding...sorta). Let's see what we can do

Very curious as to why he didn't put anything out himself. Will be sure to keep an eye out on this thread, would be interesting to hear his story.

Yo Vocab, this thread has been posted countless time on the board and all with the same result, nada nunca. I remember reading in some CD booklet that there was supposed to be a DOOM/Fantastik record but like every future DOOM collab it materialized into nothing. I truly wish someone knew something but at this point I'll just enjoy the two verses he was able to bless us with.

I was on a flight a few weeks ago, zoning out on sleeping pills with gin+tonic, and watching VH-1's show Greatest Mysteries in Hip-Hop. I was expecting the perennial Who killed Biggie/Tupac? to take the top spot, maybe followed up by a mish-mash of other favorites like, Who writes Lil’ Wayne’s lyrics? What does Q-Tip actually say in ‘Electric Relaxation’? Did Lil Kim really get her stomach pumped because she had to much semen in her digestive system? I guessed they might fill up the rest of the segment on past mysteries, like What is the sample for Shook Ones Pt II? But in the end, I was pulled out of my drunken stupor by the thrilling story in the top spot, the #1 Greatest Mystery in Hip-Hop: "Who is Mr. Fantastik?" But I don't want to ruin it for you - you'll have to see the show yourself.

Reminds me of the old ynq linear notes and the beat konducta bio.

read quotes about him from other message boards
Mr.Fantastik isn't his real name. Its was basically used to fit the Victor Von Doom + Fantastic Four story if you understand what I mean. I'm not sure but I think he is RODAN from KMD(MF dooms old group) Because there isn't much info on Ron\dan either.

and

Mr. Fantastik is part of a small underground rap group from NY (Not M.I.C.). Found the myspace for his group but lost the url.

Fairly sure he isn't Rodan lol, though it is funny cause over at UGHH someone claimed he was really Count Bass D.

The plot thickens

Someone needs to ask DOOM in an interview to finally clears things up.

I remember way back in the glory days of mfdoomsite.com we had an FAQ and one of the questions was Who is Mr. Fantastik? Can't remember what it said when you clicked it though.

I think the only person who could successfully pull that off would be Nardwuar the Human Serviette. With the level of research he puts into each interview he could probably tell DOOM who Mr. Fantastick is.

Yeah the Jay-Z interview is painful to watch. Jigga definitely doesn't 'get' the whole Nardwuar thing. I would imagine someone like DOOM would have a fun time with a Nardwuar interview. Plus he'd probably get to walk away with a bunch of cool crystals, a near mint copy of Fantastic Four #5 and probably some sort of telescope.

sooo many good nardwuar interviews. DOOM would be the ultimate though, for sure. i can never decide if seeing a nardwuar interview beforehand should be a prerequisite for participating in one. he definitely polarizes the people who are actually down to earth vs the people who are kind of impatient/self-conscious pricks.
