I don't see why anyone would want to win that bad considering the only prize is picking a sample. Such a puzzling chain of events.
One thing is for certain: He who holds the most votes will not win my respect on this battlefield, nor anyone elses. Only he who crafts the illest beat.

Jeesus Christ... I don't want to bring up bad memories, but I think the whole getting your friends to vote for you should be addressed in the BB policies... The way I see it... it should be up to members of this group to decide who should win, which is very hard to do due to the anonymity of the web... You should not win because your friends voted for you on the basis that you are their friend. They most likely didn't listen or care to listen to the other submissions. I look at the Stones Throw Beat Battle Board as a somewhat elitist, masonic, beat making cult exclusive to those who actually take the time to produce/ or listen to other members' art. I'm high as shit and may not make much sense right now, but that's my input of the situation before us.. AND I'm not just doing this because I never get voted for (lawls)

My gosh, the Beak sample this week was so hard, probably would've flipped something with a little more time but I guess sometimes you can't So impressed with everyone who submitted though! Mega props to...
Illhack (wicked use of the Beak sample man)
DJ Sapien (lol @ your "Drum Workout" genre...)
Through the beat (and an additional props for introducing me to STBB, I found this page through your soundcloud profile!)
...and my top choice for this week:
Ogi Feel the Beat
Listened to your track so many times this week dude, just awesome! Maybe not as much integration of the Beak sample as other peeps, but it was just so super solid I couldn't help but vote for it!!

The time you lot are all arguing, there was a mass shooting on primary school kid's in Connecticut, seems a bit pathetic to me that votes, soundcloud plays, rules, politics, are at the forefront of discussion,
The plays do not matter
The Winner is irrelevant
The Votes do not matter
Hiphop is meant to be a hip happening movement, see Hip also means up to date, aware, evolving. Hop is the movement, that is meant to be us. The two words all ready existed waiting for the birth of what we all love to hear and connect with. We are definitely not meant to pat each other down like volunteer police with accusations. I think there is a broad age range of beat makers on here I would guess from 16 - 35, and sometimes it shows, I can totally understand the younger ones wanting to win and getting their mates to vote, and seem cool, does it matter really in the grand scheme of things. It's all quite simple really, change the bloody rules!!!! Only count the votes from the beatmakers . Thats it!! so in ending how the hell can we help others if we can't organise ourselves. If at some point this is read, and you feel like " I didn't know the shooting happened, think what you were doing at that time and was it a waste of energy, if so how much do you waste on a daily basis.
ODK's Saturday school is finished.
Now whoever wins this please, please, please spice the rules up!!!!!, meditate get out of your body talk to some aliens and get some ideas if you must, but please add some fire!!

Ok I think that's reasonably short and sweet. Zexual, no beef, just looking forward to hearing next weeks shit.
