Damn this is much better lyrically than i expected it to be. I am definitely looking forward to this now, madlib seems to be developing nicely as a beat maker.

Damn, you guys don't have to love everything Madlib puts up. He's an amazing producer, in fact he's my favorite of all time. But, like every artist ... sometimes you produce garbage. I'm a beatmaker myself & some stuff I make is terrible.

It just seems like everyone loves EVERYTHING Lib does. You're allowed to see if you think sometime isn't up to par. What's the worse that could happen, some Internet fag might make fun of you.

In a nutshell, I love Madlib, but this new joint with Strong Arm Steady is trash.

Peace, Party

i think there's enough madlib "hate" on this board, to make your post pointless.
bottom line it's an opinion. everyone's got one, kinda like "assholes".

whether you like it or not its up to you. i personally think its heat

hahaha look who's talking!
i remember you were complaining all the time that the WLIB sucked and you only liked 2 tracks of something
and you didn't give specifics either

anyway, why isn't defari mentioned anywhere? he kills it with his verse

yo man lib is my favorite producer of all time but this track is totally boring ..... sorry... i was hoping for the main beat to be an intro then something funky and raw to come in but its just a loop

maybe the album will have better stuff

Yeah people, respect the opinions. Everything Madlib does is not always gonna be the best. I mean maybe lib was just saving the dope beats for DOOM, Guilty etc. and he just happened to give them this beat cus it was laying in a pile of old clothes or something.

Get off his nuts really. Some of yall get butt hurt a lot of the times.

I like Strong Arm Steady a lot but quite often they use beats I can't really dig. I didn't really think this new track was anything special. You guys should check out XXL Mixtape Vol 4 - Guns (Mitchy Slick Presents...).

Yeah that's my main issue with Madlib. He seems content to just get some dope 4 second loop and have that be an entire song a lot of the time. He rarely finds a lot of different songs and layers them well like prince paul or rjd2 or something.

thats not true what you say.....he does loop, who do you know that doesnt loop....he adds different stuff to them though...i think you need to listen to beatconductor vol 1 and 2...and also listen to the originals to that album....your going to see thats its not just a loop...he adds different stuff to his beats...

here we go again...
can't agree with this. the only releases where I think 'Lib got too much credit (for looping dope samples and just adding drums over) are Champion Sound and Madvillainy (not on every beat of course). but saying he rely on 'em most of the times is crazy talk.

btw the beat is cool
nothing jaw dropping
may be if it'd been mixed differently all those new "haters" would have waited a few months more before coming out of the woods...
