Nah, Nope. I forgot that it was airing on cable, and missed it. I'll try and catch one of the encore replays though. Did anything "happen", that they might edit out of the replays? I didn't even see a commercial for it either on cable(don't watch much of it), I heard about the airing mostly through radio spots in the car(just like heavily a week prior to the showing), and word of mouth, but still I forgot. I'm gonna check it out.

I was feelin' MC Lyte and The 18th Letter the most.

Bein' locked down was doin' her ass good!

That was kinda messed up. Such a huge part of the culture, not even a mention.... Oh well.... Dilla should've got at least a 2 min segment. ;)

They call it editing.. thats why i dont have cable... everything has to be formatted and most tv producers are clueless. i had bad vibes w/vh1 delving into hiphop since the begining. you think they are doing it for da love???

i wasn't at the show. being that common lived w/dilla for quite sometime, i'm sure some props were mentioned and editied....

yeah i thought it was too bad with no dilla honor because ?uestlove was the music director for the whole show too
i am sure they will be honorin dilla next year they probably never had the time since it was probably mostly planned before he passed
but i was suprised they never really said much about odb bein gone

seriously look at america as an entity... diddy is a household name - same goes for enimen.. vh1 would not do this if massive profits were not involved.. who knows about dilla???? Edit - cut - paste copy. i love Yancey but corporate broadcasting runs shit, and mentioning dilla for one minute means loosing money from corporate sponsors who keep vh1 going.....

yeah its sum bullshit

that why i don't have cable...

i'm a big enough hater...

They shoulda atleast did "Steady Mobbin" for Ice Cube that's GANGSTA!!!

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!!!!!!! YELLA LOOK OLD...He look like Smokey Robinson

Lil Eazy look juss like him

I would also like to say that Ice T's new reality show is stupid instead of teaching kids how to "rap" teach them how to stay in school and get an education. Last thing we need is a world full of wanna be's

The Afrika Bambaata tribute was great. Eryka lookin' sooo fine in that Funkadelic outfit. mmmm, mmmm!

I was surprised at the poor showing of respect for ODB as well. And the Dilla subject didn't even come to mind but good point!

Mannn I still haven't caught this but I did think they would mention dilla though. For at least a second or two cause I think when I was seeing promos for it I saw pharcyde in it so I automatically thought,"ahhh cool they might shout d out"
