What up? I'm Miles, this is my first time in this forum.

Where are you digging for samples?
I started getting into 50's-70's French, Japanese and Italian funk personally.
It's amazing how much of an influence American soul and funk have on the rest of the world.
Think of all the places the music has touched, and start digging for tunes in those era's and geographic locations you love. Explore, Love, and Create...........and Post.

Here's one of mine.

late 70's/early 80's boogie
early to mid 60's modal jazz
early to mid 80's rap/electro
80's hardcore/punk rock
early 60's-mid 70's soul
present day rap
80's detroit techno
late 90's-early 2000's thug rap
70's psych rock

and a bunch of other crap I don't feel like listing

I'm tired.

EDIT: I misinterpreted the question, I thought you asked what eras I liked to listen to. Not to sample.

I usually sample 60's jazz. Not consciously or anything, it's just what usually sounds good to me.
