what do you mean?

what I mean is that I chose the track to flip this week but have yet to start my version.

and I would really like to spend more than a couple hours on this one. but with work and family my beat time gets compressed into small windows.

no way -- mine's prety simple again. i want to start using programmed drums --- i've been listening to a lot of flying lotus and samiyam beats recently. their drum sounds are unfuckwithable. i still love breakbeats though...

in mine, it's a combination of breakbeat and programmed drums if that makes any sense.
i didn't use a metronome with this one and i was just kinda playing along with it.

stmb 8 - "bones"

was a bit of a hassle to do on the 303.... i want an mpc dammit! great sample choice though. i had to go for the pianoy, melancholy bits as the heavy synth sections were already too perfect.... all i would have done is loop 'em up!!

looking forward to hearing everyone else's.

"March Into The AM" <_<

You have to listen to the whole thing because it changes a little. Just so you don't listen to it and in the first 30 seconds you're like "Man, what the hell is this?"

Here's mine... (and 12 hours earlier than normal). I had a couple different works in progress for this one.
I didn't want to force the obvious parts and decided to really push the small open sounds into new territories.

thats cool -- i always thought about doing that as i enjoy playing thr drums. but there's no way i could do it where i live, too noisy!! i might have a go at that one day. looks like we've got some pretty interesting beats this time round. nice.
