DOPE. what other word is there for it? the wayniac is on a crazy roll. Cassettes 1-3 rank high as hell for me, he's refined his flow expertly. He's released easily an album's worth of shit on these three cassettes...I can only imagine what the joints that actually MADE Rap Album 1 are like. Expectations are high.

ODE TO MORTALITY IS MY SHIT

though I gotta admit, living in NY it's hard to justify purchasing the cassette when the shipping is only 50 cents less than the product itself... nearly doubles the price. But seeing as I bought the first two... probably gotta do it.

The tape is great and Jeff Jankrub did real good with this trilogy. A cigar, a can of coke and kick-ass music. Who needs more?

easily my favorite release of 2013 so far. i haven't stopped listening to it on a loop since i downloaded it yesterday, there aren't very many projects anymore that are this good. last time i was this excited was Death Grips' NO LOVE DEEP WEB last October...

Bukowski still inspires. There was that eponymous track on the first cassette, and now samples on this one. DOOM done did it too on Born Like This.

I think each one got a little better. All 3 are really good though. I haven't opened my cassette yet so not sure if one side is instrumentals as with the other 2 but I doubt it given the length of this one. Can anyone confirm?

Cassette 1 is definitely the sparsest, I think the run time is 10 mins shorter, but it still contains tracks (Bukowski, Gross) that rank among top Jonwayne for me. Cassette 2 is worth it for Passing Fancies alone, but again, almost spotless tracklist.

Gotta love the instrumental B-sides, but I'll admit I'm thankful to have 2 sides of raps on this last one. and damn are they good raps.

The cassette deck in my car busted recently, been searching for my walkman, haven't gotten a chance to listen to this one on tape yet. Can anybody rate the bonus track that was supposed to be on the physical copy?

hard to say whether it's a betrayal of the Casette ideals or a welcome vinyl release of arguably a better album than his debut LP!

^ yeah, true dat. but i don't get why ST always seems to go through the trouble of re-packaging and re-releasing the same content as many times as they can rather than just have JW release a new mixtape or something...at least add some tracks that weren't on the original cassettes, we all know he has a cave of unreleased tracks sitting around somewhere.

Plus we all know JW is highly influenced by DOOM and this is basically how Dumile has stayed paid for the past several years now.

It was cool when ST had a lot of artists releasing a lot of albums instead of a few artists releasing a few albums and rereleasing old stuff :(

I'm actually excited to see some of the Cassette tracks get the vinyl treatment. I am curious to know if this is going to be to a specific 'rerelease' or more of a compilation of the three cassettes.

I missed out on the cassettes. And I don't have a cassette player so I would like the vinyl release. Anyone try the screwed version of rap album 1 like it tells you to do on the sticker?

My guess is strike the instrumentals from 1 and 2? And whatever tracks they could clear samples for? Numbers on the Hoard probably not gonna be on there. Wasn't that one of the reasons for the whole first cassette release in the first place, non-clearable samples? There are cuts off of all three I would definitely love to have on wax, it'd be a shame to have mainly #3 and no Bukowski or Passing Fancies.
