:( WHAAAAAAAT??!!

Edit - just pre-ordered the limited edition 2LP!

hmmm... Thought the even #'d ones, weren't getting vinyl.
If ST doesn't announce it, consider it suspect.

You are correct sir! I remember Bot saying the mixtapes are only getting the CD treatment. UGHH is slipping!

I was planning on copping the CD anyways. :( But we need ST Bot to come through and confirm or deny this.

The CD contains a 12-page booklet with a special supplement listing every medicinal marijuana dispensary in Madlib's home city Los Angeles.

This is awesome. As a rule of thumb I don't usually buy Mix CDs, but the awesome artwork and this list of dispensaries may just force me to make an exception.

indeed we do... I have made a pact with myself to own all of these discs but i jumped the gun on this one and order the mp3... i hope they let me convert my order and just pay the shipping. I bet it was supposed to be the preorder for the cd anyways.

they should be getting to the office soon.

EDIT: it is Good Friday... they might not even be working today. Doubt this will get resolved today.

This isn't gettin an mp3 or vinyl release. It actually said in the description that if you are buying it right now, then it's going to the pre-order of the cd's. AGAIN....Mixtapes aren't getting the mp3 or vinyl release, only the ACTUAL madlib productions are.

More than likely someone f--ked up & put the "mp3" icon instead of "cd" THUS causing mad confusion.

Okay so how do you explain that ughh.com has both the CD and vinyl available for pre-order and they are both priced accordingly.

ughh is hardly an authoritative source on releases, it has been said several times this is only cd since it is an even numbered mix. chill out and wait for 4 20 people

most cd jawns by ST get bootlegged in japan and turned into wax and they sell for a very hefty sum.

like that YNQ or the early madlib stuff go for 100 ++ bills when on wax shit aint even official.

Madlib Medicine Show #4: 420 Chalice All-Stars is released on CD only. The mixtapes of the medicine show series (all the even-numbers) will be on CD only.

The mixtape was posted last night incorrectly as "MP3" but this has been sorted out. If you made one of these MP3 purchases hoping for an MP3, please contact the store.

As for Ughh, they follows their own path -- more power to 'em -- but this will not be released on vinyl. CD only.

^^^^^ It has been said a million times that the even numbered joints would be DJ mixes so why would you want that on vinyl? I have said this before, but listening to a mix on vinyl is like listening to a record of a record. CD is cool for me.

Can anyone confirm for me if this will be a reggae or dubstep mix? I think I read when the info about this first came out that it was a dubstep mix. I know reggae and dubstep are similar but.....

will be interesting to hear this. that blunted in the bomdshelter mix was not really good at all in my opinion. its like a crash course into Trojans reggae catalogue. if you listened to reggae for a couple of years the selection he put on that mix is pure standards. true talk. respx to madlib to the max still.

meaning there's more to the Trojan catalog or it is what it is.?

he was given everything in the Trojan catalog to mix, what did you expect,it isnt everything in the reggae spectrum,if he was given all of studio 1,channel 1,joe gibbs, jammy, tubby, shanachie, pressure sounds, volcano catalogs at once then you can at least draw out some obscurity to say the least because those labels are quite known already.

but this time around its all the bad kid.so i would expect something rare and deep eg some rare Dilinger track probably back by the aggrovators back in the late 70s mixed by king tubby himself.

"diggin in the crates for a fat remix"

I'm really exited to hear some nice dub records mixed by Madlib. Finally some real dub music, that dubstep sh-t is getting really boring to me.

If im able to get them all in physical copies. I will lay them out and drop a load because this is too amazing. Dropping an album a month plus all of the other releases like Strong Arm Steady and the OJ Simpson....unheard of......Load dropped.
