i had some songs playing on random the other day, when "third rock" came on.
i recognized where it was most recently used (rjd2), then the vocals kicked in.
"this isnt sly stone, but it sounds..." long story short, the 12" on soul cal slipped my memory
when it first came out, now i dont know what i would do without it.

No it's not Sly, His name is Jerome Richmond aka Mouse. He died in 99.
and was a bad funky motherfucker in his own right. Just ask Bootsy Collins.

i know its not sly, i was just saying...but i agree, he was a bad mother effer.
