      STMB   01/22/2017

Sorry for the outage. The board went down for repairs on January 5th, and we didn't expect to be out for a full 16 days.  STMB is using a default skin, as you can see, and that will probably be the case for a few weeks.  Meanwhile, the board is working better than it ever has before.

You're welcome Sunny, too bad it's been mysteriously taken down already...

It was AWESOME!!! I've said it before but this video really highlights what a humble individual The Madlib is; calls himself an 'amateur' when talking about other jazz musicians. The chick was kind of corny and I really wish the listening portion would have dealt more with The Madlib's finds in that MASSIVE storage area rather than 'Hey look! Tha Alkaholiks...'.

Yeah from the released trailer the chick looked like a dumb ass hoe with little going for her other than she happens to like music and is from France (among other things). But don't ask me, I am leagues behind everyone when it comes to noticing things.

Yeah, they played records (one he didn't even own), talked about why dilla is such an inspiration, got into some of the reasons for his previous sample choices and briefly discussed the motive behind his ynq projects. This interview was definitely different from others. I caught it early in the am but I hope y'all get to see it soon!

I did not see any Zappa being used. Thanks french dude for telling us there is gay language being spoken. But I did not hear your gay language. Go lose a war and make bad porn.

Chick needs to learn a proper head bob. She dont even get the pussy.

Peace.

Yeah, no Zappa played, but when he talked about Sun Ra bouncing around different styles, and when he says: " they always have movements in their songs, keep changing, I like music like that" made me think of Zappa since he always does that...

I was just watching the Geoff Barrow Radio France interview and he called Madlib the hip-hop Frank Zappa
