Rick Ross is incredible.

And this movie looks interesting. Really enjoying the color palate along with the overall feel of the cinematography.

Projexion, on a Gosling related tip, did you see Blue Valentine?

I did, I thought it was really good. I liked how it juxtaposed the good with the bad.

I have yet to see that director's follow up A Place Beyond The Pines with Gosling and Bradley Cooper. Looks good.

yeah blue valentine was good, i saw place beyond the pines last weekend gosling is only in it for the first half and the film does kind of feel like two seperate films stuck together with a loose storyline, that said gosling is good in it

another of his films to watch is 'lars and the real girl' funny quirky little indie flick, i really rate him as an actor and think he is beyond the 'hollywood hearthrob' tag, i heard that album he took two years out from acting to do its.....odd, also saw that he was down at low end theory with flylo, i work with a girl who is in love with him she's really boring i lent her 'lars..' and she thought it was weird, she best stick to the notebook eh

Hating on Rick Ross is like hating on fun. Or puppies.

Yah, I just gave him some YouTubin. He alright. I mean, he is good modern rap for sure.

Yeah I watched BV yesterday and was blown away at the story telling and how real everything felt. Like Cianfrance has been secretly recording every argument my wife and I have ever had...

I just watched Lars on Netflix and have to give Gosling props for playing such a weird dude so well. I'm in total agreement though Finch, he is an excellent actor hands down one of the best doing it right now.

used to hate on Gosling all day until his collabs with Cianfrance, Half Nelson and Blue Valentine.

DOPE movies, especially BV.

This is getting really bad word of mouth at Cannes, but it's still in my top 3 most anticipated movies this summer

I just got home from taking my wife to see Place Beyond the Pines and I have to say Cianfrance killed it again. It really felt like three movies to me with the common theme of 'be a father to your child' regardless of your social or economic situation. That chase scene with Gosling and Cooper was dope as hell, great camera work.

Regardless, this scene alone is worth the price of admission:

Saw it over the weekend and I'm still thinking about it, kind of have mixed feelings similar to Spring Breakers.

This is an art film through and through, reminded me of old school Herzog and Kubrick. The cinematography, use of colors, and the hypnotic Martinez score were the highlights.

Kristen Scott Thomas was amazing, Gosling was basically just doing his Drive character again, stoic, emotionless, which worked for that movie but would've liked to see more in this role.

Don't get me wrong, my eyes were glued to the screen from start to finish. But in the end I craved a little more story and character development. Thats just me.

Anyone else see it yet?

I liked it. Every movie is different from the last, Refn has quite a filmography developing. I foresee him becoming one of the greats.

if you need traditional narrative storytelling this movie is not for you. the end credits came up and refn put dedicated to alejandro jordowski. its not as crazy as a jordowski but it def gives you an idea of where this movie is at. i look forward to watching it again on the couch, which i've been told its on itunes now:
