New Quas before MV2 ha. Guess DOOM's slacking on that one too, was reading somewhere Ghostface saying their record was being held up by him too.

whoah. sad. scraping the bottom of the madlib barrel here?

i'll probably cop for some good art but fuck...

http://www.stonesthr...showtopic=23901

hope it IS just a lead-up to St. Straight (the imaginary album).

Thanks for the link, was trying to remember where I had heard about a Quas comp before

Posted about this over on my site, have linked the track list to where the songs can be heard or where info can be found

http://waxramble.com...tion-tracklist/

Basically looks like a bunch of Quas songs from various 7" & 12" releases and some unreleased Madlib joints that have been put out in random mixtapes/etc

Edit: Maybe this also means that Quas is all done for, with this release acting as a way to tie up loose ends/make money off old stuff

Compared with all the ST releases over the last three years a mere mention of a new Quas record gets this board more excited than every one of the past non-The Madlib albums rolled into one. Kind of sad because there is definitely more to ST than just Quasimoto's pitch controlled voice.

agreed!

But still come on. 8 years of endless quas-speculation-circle-jerk only to have "official" word of "new" material being pressed... you can hardly chastise the board for being excited about that prospect, right? haha even when there IS "new" quas, quas fans are not allowed to get hyped.

Can't help but feel that this is the death knell for quas. maybe he'll get a feature on MV2 after hell freezes over.

Wouldn't actually mind a compilation like this, but it's still missing some tracks...

Yeah, some of these tracks on vinyl would be pretty great. I've always wanted 'Planned Attack' and 'Am I Confused?' on wax.

Quick question though: will they be mastered?

i've accepted there's probably a better shot of my being hell while it freezes than me ever hearing MV2

that's a crazy question. the reason that Lord Quas posted about the test press LP was because he was hyped about it sounding so good. mastered by Cooley.
