I love this part:

"His former friends press 12 records from his remains, but when those records play, his vengeful spirit arises."

Sounds good but the Apollo Brown remix album sounds better IMO! I hope they release a digital download of that or at least someone rips the cassette.

Just watched the Fallon appearance. I don't care what anybody says. That was horrible.

I haven't heard about this....

EDIT: Holy schnikes $55 for the vinyl, cd, tape, shirt, comic and poster. Apparently, this will be available at some stores on this year's 'Record Store Day'. I'm definitely going to make sure one of my local shops gets this in.

Yeah the Roots sound just ruined it all for me. Adrian Younge's stuff is usually pretty gritty and grimey but the roots sound is just too clean. I dont know what they didnt have Younge's band play?

Yah. It's the Paul Schaffer effect. That opera singer terrible. IDK man, good live hip hop is a rare thing.

...this remix has me really eager to hear the entire Brown version of "12RTD"

"Those paying attention know that boxsets of Ghostface‘s Twelve Reasons to Die come with a dope alternate cassette version of the album produced by Apollo Brown. The production is decidedly grittier as evidenced in the R-Rated (for blood and violence) video for “Rise of the Black Suits,” in which things turn gruesome at a smokey drug spot."

VIDEO: Ghostface Killah - Rise Of The Black Suits (prod. by Apollo Brown) {from 12RTD "The Brown Tape" version}

Looks like they dropped the "Brown Tape" as a digi release and it'll be a limited CD (of 1000) that will drop in May.

They're also doing a 2LP vinyl with instrumentals on the second LP. I'm excited for this!

Thankfully they did this! But it was kinda a given choice...I don't think they'd waste Apollo Brown's beat on a tape alone. Good thing they'll press it up on CD & Vinyl. I like the Brown Tape. With Ugly Heroes Apollo Brown is dropping another album. Dude had a crazy output recently!

I'm skeptical about buying anything off that site. I've heard they're not too timely with the orders. I think I'm gonna hit up one of the local shops and have them order it for me. That way if its six months late my wallet won't be bitching at me.

I just caught Ghost and Adrian Younge live in Chicago at the Abbey Pub.

Overall kinda disappointing to be honest. Ghost def brought it, but Younge kept on derailing the show with his dumb intermission skits that halted all the momentum Ghost brought. I understand Younge wanted to bring the concept from the album to the stage, but the execution was lacking and Ghost didn't even seem to be too into it honestly. The drunk friday night crowd is not interested in the story, they just wanna hear bangers and rap along to it.

Adrian Younge kills it live and is humble as shit. I caught the show and met the whole band, GFK, and Killah Priest. If those people wanted to hear "bangers" they were at the wrong fucking show, this is big boy music.

I FINALLY got my preorder in the mail yesterday. Thankfully they gave me a digi version of the album and the brown tape. They said they switched shipping companies and due to that my advanced PREORDER was about a month late. WTF?!

According to this guy STM is a pretty shitty label when it comes to how they handle preorders and shipping product out.
