      STMB   01/22/2017

Sorry for the outage. The board went down for repairs on January 5th, and we didn't expect to be out for a full 16 days.  STMB is using a default skin, as you can see, and that will probably be the case for a few weeks.  Meanwhile, the board is working better than it ever has before.

Saw something about this in the newsletter. Very nice to see some new The Madlib for 2013.

EDIT: That cover is FRESH!

Ok now I want snippets. And what caught my attention : "Blu, MED, and Madlib tease their upcoming full length"

burgandy whip definitely was on ucla, and I'm guessing the others are probably re-titled versions of other tracks. when i saw The Burgandy EP pop up a couple weeks ago at 360 vinyl I figured it was what STBot was referring to on that ucla thread...pressing up ucla as a 10-inch... but apparently it's just a tease for a full length! if I recall correctly, MED's only on like 2 or 3 tracks on ucla, so the whole thing has probably changed significantly if they've got equal billing

Your search for "burguny" did not yield any results

HHV.DE doesn't have the picture up. What is the artwork?

just bought the vinyl yesterday :P

i guess you could call it an impulse sale, i just saw the names "Madlib" "Blu" and "Georgia Anne Muldrow" and instantly clicked buy haha.

EDIT: oh, "Burgundy Vinyl" was another buzzword for me as well...

What happened to JJ's post saying that ST was not putting this out and that it wouldn't be on drip?

^ Spooky.

ST probably figured if they do put this on drip and do a tad bit of promotion their likely to get quite a few new subscribers. That's just a thought though.

Brilliant! That was my favourite song from that infamous album.

So glad to finally get the instrumental. If you guys recall, the beat was also used by Talib Kweli and SAS.

Sounds like Madlib used a Bossa Nova sample. :)

Another satisfied purchase. I underestimated the Georgia Anne Muldrow track on here. The synth work is nice! "Belly Fully" takes the cake on this EP.

GREAT artwork on this one too!

so far all the instrumentals on Madlibs EP's (this one, Freddie GIbbs) are fucken nice! he needs to drop a beat tape with some beats like that. Medicine Show mix he did had some fire on it too. As a producer i just want another solid beat tape, but about the EP. Blu got a very chill westcoast flow a full LP would be nice

Kinda weird to think "Madlib needs to drop more music" after he finished his Medicine Show, which was a shit load of music. I still haven't listened to it all >_>
