      STMB   01/22/2017

Sorry for the outage. The board went down for repairs on January 5th, and we didn't expect to be out for a full 16 days.  STMB is using a default skin, as you can see, and that will probably be the case for a few weeks.  Meanwhile, the board is working better than it ever has before.

Lewis Parker - Game of Charades 7" (RECORD STORE DAY SPECIAL EDITION

As a special edition 7" vinyl release on Record Store Day (April 19th 2014), we are releasing a remake of the 'Fake Charades' song that featured on Lewis Parker's first full length LP 'Masquerades & Silhouettes'. The beat has been reworked in the SP-1200 and remixed along with newly recorded vocals to bring it up to the higher standards Lewis has set over the past years since the original first dropped in 98'. The b-side includes the instrumental version.

There are only 250 copies available pressed on black 7” vinyl with a 3 mm spine, full colour artwork and shrink wrapped.

Coming soon: http://www.kingunderground.com/product/fredfades-remixes-ep

Fredfades 'Remixes' vinyl version white label. Includes exclusive remixes.

For this project Fredfades remixes nine of his favorite rap songs. Dense layers of samples from hard to find records, crisp drums and ruthless bass lines are some of the ingredients Fred uses to create new versions of these Hip-Hop gems. Some of them seem to have come out edgier and more interesting than the original songs. Legendary to some, obscure to others, all the acapellas have been laced with the jazzyness Fades has become known to represent. All beats via one were produced on the cult status SP1200 machine (the Street Smartz beat was produced using the MPC 2000XL). The result is a wide range of super tight raps and the distinct and consistent style of a young producer with an old soul. If you appreciate timeless rap flows over some bold reinventions of the "golden era sound", this is a must cop record!
