      STMB   01/22/2017

Sorry for the outage. The board went down for repairs on January 5th, and we didn't expect to be out for a full 16 days.  STMB is using a default skin, as you can see, and that will probably be the case for a few weeks.  Meanwhile, the board is working better than it ever has before.

James Pants self-titled aka Love Kraft

I remember reading an interview like 10 months back where JP was describing this album. I'm really enjoying this first track and can't wait for the album to drop!

not all that interested.

Not all that surprised by your lack of interest.

I've been pumped since I heard about it a few months ago. Apparently he was heavily into doo-wop when he recorded the album and that's what inspired the music. You can definitely hear/feel that good old 50's doo-wop in that first track.

Dustcraft, thanks for pointing this out... I was completely unaware. Might have to do a last minute name change!

No prob, I may be the only SFA fan on here. As long as you don't call it Dust Kraft ;)

And keep up the good work!

I want JP to get back to the insane funkdified manner he was dropping on Welcome. This one from what I heard is kinda electronic Motown. Uhn Ehn. Give me James Pants, electronic funk pop any day. Electronic Motown? They already got at least two Motown artists ST.

I listened to a supposed leaked album once through a couple weeks ago to see what it was like and I didn't like it at all. I wonder if it was the real deal?

I like what I've heard so far, even to the point of declaring it my favorite of the JP releases so far, but "Every Night" sounds a bit too much like the chorus of Pulp's "My Legendary Girlfriend"; between that and originally calling the album "Love Kraft", is this dude on a Brit-Pop kick or something?

I didn't want to start a new thread just for this, but does anyone know the song/artist off of the "music from the forest mix" that sounds like E.T. is singing on it?

The lyrics go: "If your'e lonely/ don't be lonely/ you can always phone home

everybody needs somebody..."

Dont have the time it comes in cus I don't have the mix anymore. :(
