On the subject, has there only been 1 volume from Madlib's Dirty Brasilian Crate series released thus far? Speto De Rua is the vol. 1 but I haven't heard much on any other releases (if there has been..).

You are correct, there has only been one tape that has been released. I'm thinking the next Medicine Show album which is titled Flight to Brazilian will be the next in the Diry Brasilian Crate 'series'.

we all we got yall glad i could put u all on something

wish i could download these!

Geech

I found a way to download the rbma audio streams some time after posting earlier in this thread. think I showed my source to sunny but I don't remember in what thread that was.

you have to use a firefox extension/plugin called tamper data it enables you to capture every http request made by your browser. Just understand that for every web page you consult there might be dozens of http requests made by your browser depending on how loaded with images, embedded flash videos or scripts said page is. So to capture the rbma audio streams you need to open tamper data (after you've installed it it'll appear under the 'tools' menu in firefox) before opening the rbma page where the stream plays. click on 'start tamper' in the tamper data window then open the streaming rbma page; you'll get a bunch of pop ups, just click on 'tamper' until you see a pop up displaying an address like http://xxxxxxx.mp3 that is the link to the audio file of the stream; use it to download the file.

It would be wise to only open the rbma page and nothing else in another tab so you don't get overwhelmed when the pop-ups start showing up

I don't post much these days but I'm still a regular lurker

I have that Spice album somewhere on my old computer's hard drive but I'm not using it at the moment. Whenever I retrieve those files I'll let you know

back on topic, for the videos I used a program called stream transport

not sure if it's still around, try googling it

but it let me download the rtmp:// streams quite easily even though slowly (I remember the transfer rate was about the same as the playback's, say the video was 1hr long, the transfer would also take about 1h)

anyway the hard thing to do was to find the rtmp://xxxx link. I had to look into xml files and whatnot....good times lol

I downloaded a bunch of those lectures, Madlib, ?uestlove, Theo Parrish, Chuck D, Georgia & Dudley, etc....but they are all in my dead computer
