very nice! tough competition!

it has a nice lurch to it. nice looping of the salsa bit...the drums could hit harder, but that compression makes for some dirty textures that works nice. yes, very different from mine, also.

Yo--I have a question about levels. I always have a itch of a time getting my bass levels correct. For instance, my beat for #32 is heavy on bass...which is great in the car *but* if i turn bass boast on (loudness), it becomes kind of a mess. i can run filters over it...anyway without turning bass boast/loudness on it sounds tight. I really like the way it sounds now, and I don't want to degrade it with filters...etc.

i guess i don't really have a question, i'm just looking for yr guys thoughts on this...i guess I'll need to run some filters over my beat but damn i love the way it sounds with loudness turned off in the car.

it's a pain in the ass going from the fidelity of headphones, car stereo, home stereo, computer and making them all sound great...at least for me. I guess that is just another acquired skill I have to hone up on.

I think for 75.00 a pop i will do vid for everyone as long as each track is under or around 3 min

I will post it on you tube and also send out a DVD copy to you so that you can post it on your myspace page.

I know that my stuff is wired however i have a talent for finding the appropriate footage and or you can tell me what you want.
Let me know i have a paypal account so it doesnt matter what country your in i think.

HONEY RIDER

p.s and if you have beef with me drop it on the ground squash it and lets make some art!

Vid is a bomb way to promote your stuff.

Aiiight heads here is my first entry into this battle. I'm not sure if I'll have time tomorrow to upload this. I hope the bass isnt too distorted. Go easy on me. It's about 1:35 in length:

tk - your beat is so special this is fuckin great! so weird and unlikely.....i like the style.....the only thing that MIGHT have disturbed me is the sound of the cymbals...dunno something about them sounded too computerized and perfect............i like the original raw sound

subbass - so heavy, so funky, couldnt expect any fuckin less man......i liked the way you used the sample, abit off beat and amazing
and the vocals fit perfect
excellent production

wheres everyone else??

heres mine..
Wrong one

since the turntables are not connected to the computer......i cant scratch and put it on a beat....so i tried very very poorly to imitate scratching in a tiny part in the beat....just ignore it :P

thanks alot man! yeah, usually my ish sounds a little more organic, but something happened with layering/compression and it does sounds a bit computery at parts...thanks though man, I wasn't sure if anyone would like my ish or not! django--your beat is real nice and varied throughout, but it seems like you have a problem with that low end clipping or something. bass levels are too high, kinda muddy the whole thing. overall though, i loved it.

SubBass, damn you got skills. that shit is tight. heavy bass hittin, I really like your lead sample in the first bit. vocal samples were right on. I didn't have time to add any vocal shit or scratching, I will step it up next week.

Cplus--you already know I dug your shit, it had my head noddin...

Anybody else? Only four this week? They do sound very good this week, steppin up. Too bad Bill Collecter, Quas3 and some of these other cats aren't in this week. what up? steppin out the game?

DJcPLUS - Damn...lovin that lo-fi sound. And yeah...the piano sounds like it was played live over the top at spots...the drum breakdown is DOPE. Damn.

TKurata - Nice shit...that bubblin' bass shit is dope. Kinda schizo soundin' Aphex Twin vibe shit...crazy as hell but I like it...

Django - Bass sounds slightly off key...but I'm diggin the sped-up vox on there...nice shit. Nice little vocal drops...piano sounds DOPE...

Bill - Always dig your sound...just has that late-night vibe...crunchy snares...nice drum work...just clean...my mind kinda gets lost in it...

It's gonna be hard for me to vote...I dont think there's a weak entry yet...
