Kits and stock MPC drums, man ... them crispy sounds are either artificial or the results of pretty good mixing

Grab a simple minor key melody. The more sparse the arrangement, the better.

he use a sp1200 probaly poor mixing that why its sounds crisp

I had the original triple six mafia stuff on tape direct from memphis in the early 90's. they are/were a father to my style. I never kept up after their official release with distro and then that EP with "Throw Your Sets". I tried to emulate the crisp while recording on tape by using Hi-Bias Chrome Tapes and leaving the dbx button on.

Do u just use regular 808's or anything special ?
