Hell yeah. Love it. One of the most exciting parts of the album to me is seeing Big Boi rapping on a track with/produced by El-P. The album is magic.

El-P rarely falls off, the fact they put this out for free as well, says something, I find it a lot better then Killer Mikes album produced by
El-P.

Saw they're giving away a free track on the above link but did they actually put out the whole project for free?

I was able to get one of the two copies my record store got. Had to go to work so I haven't played it yet.

On the track that is streaming, like most of RTJ, I wish the track would just roll with one mc. For some reason, I don't think they blend. I mean El-P is great on the beats and an awesome mc. Killer Mike is dope to on on the mic, I just feel one track belongs to the guy who starts it. When the other guy comes in, I have to adjust, cringe, skip. Just how I feel yo!

I think I felt that a bit on the first project but since RTJ2 I don't think they could compliment each other any better... Mike comes with the heavy hitting punch raps and then EL talks some shit that makes you think and digest. It's like EL-P's beats and raps are the main meal and Mikes verses are the hot sawce!

Yah, not feeling it. Maybe if they did a Beastie Boy thing, but for me, the first guy always is perfect for that track, then the other guy just seems to be on for obligatory reasons. The Beatles generally designated one lead vocalist per track. John and Paul weren't always jumping on each others shit!

Hmmm I kind of agree but then I guess you can't really compare a full band to a 2 man rap team. John and Paul would still be doing something else musically while the other one sang. If El rapped on a beat by himself (killer mike doesn't produce) then mike'd just be sitting in the corner getting high and updating his Instagram. Overdubs don't count.

Nothing wrong with that!

Its the end product that counts, not the ego. Anyhow, just my opinion.

Yeah but then you may aswell just make a solo project. I mean RTJ is basically both their solo styles... Just together. Nothing really distinguishes EL-P in RTJ from EL-P on his own shit, same with mike.

But yeah, each to their own. Just my opinion also.
