For crazy funk tho, a real incredible branch, Afro funk is the sheez. Flea Kuti is it's James Brown. That shit is supa groovalicous.

i would HIGHLY recommend egon's funk series on now again. Midwest funk, Carolina funk, Florida funk, and California funk. some of the nicest funk I've ever heard!!
