Currently I'm watching Luther Season 3, obviously Breaking Bad, and the Inbetweeners (I know, I'm way behind).

What's on your TV set?

I watched the first few episodes of Breaking Bad, then I notcied a pattern. The show is obviously very well made but I just found it so repetitive, I never got into it. Bring the hate. "Hate! Hate! Hate!" - Haters Ball '13

Me, I don't watch TV per say, only Netflix. From that, Cheers and Bear Grylls are my shit right now. I watched "Enter The Void" tonight. Trippy as fuck, a little too trippy actually. Couldn't take the whole thing.

You know this is how I have always felt about BB as well. I watched the whole first season years ago when it first came out and loved it but when absolutely nothing is ever resolved in any episode just as a ploy to get you to watch the next episode that is so goddamn irritating. Its like the the writers don't even think the show is good enough to get you to come back on its own merits, they have to end with some cliffhanger just so you can click the next episode on your netflix instant queue or what have you. The same formula is used by any show ever produced by Showtime.

worth to have a look at:
"the Master" - holy shit!!
"Samurai Fiction"
"Vanishing Point"

over here theyre airing "the War" by abc again, im really not a mil freak, but this gave me goosebumps the first time i watched the whole thing... amazing footage all over

Hilarious.
I was thinking the same thing with Trailer Park Boys. A Showtime production.

Good Eats is the shit!!! Alton had me cooking up Turkeys in the middle of summer, the dankest rack of ribs I've ever been blessed to move into my lower intestines, and a killer Chicken Parmigiana. I love his use of history and science in conjunction with a regular cooking show.

so the last episode of breaking bad was maybe the best television program I've ever watched. I mean, gotta be top 5 anyway.

I am into homeland, too.

this stuff is serious. for an european it portraits very well why the normal people can't connect to the terrorism- paranoia / threat
but our goverments are loyal to the U.S.

but the best thing is: there is no good and bad people... there is no clean sleat

the same goes for lannisters and starks in GoT

I was very impressed with Boardwalk Empire Season 3, Rosetti was a great character.

I had to go back and watch the pilot episode in Season 1 again which is pretty much a Scorsese movie.

you know, i've always been curious about that-- doesn't it sound weird when you read 'an european' out loud? it seems like it should be 'a european'...but i guess that wouldn't be right technically. but then again it sounds just as weird as when people write 'an historic' (which i hate btw, i don't care if it's correct grammar or not). idk what this has to do with anything tv-related...

After crushing Boss I checked out Season One of B.E. I had to watch the pilot twice just to catch everything. I'm a huge fan of political, time piece type shows and Boardwalk has it all! Buschemi is outstanding as a crooked ass Treasurer of the City of Atlantic.

See Boardwalk Empire, which I still watch, tends to bore me at this point. Now THAT's a show that to me, you pretty much know what's going to happen by the end of the season. Every season's gonna be about Nucky losing power and then gaining it back again. Substitute in various expendable villains, and voila, new plot! And Bushemi's always great, but maybe it's the writing, I never feel like he's quite reached that iconic Gandolfini-level of character brilliance. Dr. Narcissus seems like a good villain though, and more Chalky's always good, I'll continue to give it a shot.

Sunny you gotta give BB another shot! It feels a little at first like "oh, well nothing can be revealed or the show would just be over" but it doesn't work that way per-say. Too many spoilers to explain how it doesn't though haha, but keeping the status quo so they can drag it out indefinitely is not something the show's all about, by the end of season 2 you'll see that it's all about building characters. I been watching since in between the first and second seasons (rather than all you lucky binge-watchers), and the show is so consistently amazingly written and acted and shot...but you probably have heard it all from your co-workers, friends, distant cousins, supermarket cashiers, etc. I think it was thanks to netflix that it got so popular, Breaking Bad fans were few and far between before then.

we can have a linguistic grammar talk ..but... uhm... I have no idea

--> for me homeland hits all the weak spots when it comes to international religion, politics and truth
questions like:

why can't a congressman be muslim? how can human beings decide to be a suicide bomber?
how much control do we have over our brain and psyche? are we seperating the arabic/persian people in our global nation union?

and so on
