So I went through some massive wu tang, dilla, nas, nujabes, big l... etc. phase and ignored pretty much everything that came out in the 00's. still listen to that stuff tho

Iam only just getting into newer stuff like shlohmo, clams casino, kendrick Lamar, samiyam, pro era etc...

However I know Iam only just scraping the surface. I want to get into some more stuff.

If you could suggest some good albums, artists, groups, songs, genres and sub genres that would be great

Cheers

I don't know if this includes anything after 2000, if so....Teebs ( super chill, funky trip hop ), Teebs and Daedelus ( LA Series 6, an ep ), super funky. Great for a sexy party. FlyngnLotus, Thundercat. Yah, I am on a Brainfeeder tip,

i thought CF was late '90s...cause they were on the same label as Em before he broke into the majors, and that was all pre-2000. i'm surprised none of us thought about CanOx though. also, Deltron 3030-- and to a much lesser extent some of the early work of Damon Albarn, particularly the Gorillaz tracks that feature Del the Funky Homosapien. oh, and Hieroglyphics while we're on the subject of West-Coast.

Yeah they were also on Rawkus not Def Jux. I was thinking more of El-P's stuff like Fantastic Damage.
