Who r these guys, I mean, I dont get it, there heaps popular but there lyrics dont make any sense. There beats are eeehhh. And from what I can tell this tyler the creator dude is the biggest attention seeker.

Please enlighten me, Ill give them a chance, just send me a track of theres thats good :)

Not trying to be rude, but why don't you listen to some of their music on YouTube instead of us sending you tracks? I think you already have a stance on their music, so I'm not sure if you're trying to force oddfuture on yourself or not.

I'm not really fans of their music, but I think everyone has their place in the market. Your decision matters most in this scenario.
It's really just your opinions and tastes vs mine/others which could vary from person to person.
There's already a thread about odd future and how people on this board feel about them...I'd say google that and you'll get a range of different perspectives from the stmb.

Yah. I think their heart is in the right place. And I think it is their "thing", their "attitude" something like how the Beastie Boys were cira License to Ill that makes a certain generation cream their creamcicles. For me tho, their production is weak. For the most part, it is tinny and half assed. Their ideas are not very mature, I mean that who ever is producing has not been doing it very long and has not listened to guys like Phil Spector or George Martin or anyone who i base my style off of. I like depth in my sounds. Speaking of that, anyone hear the new Thundercat?? Holy shit. Talk about depth. That production I can sink my teeth into.

Tyler the creator is a self hating black kid, and odd future is fucking GAY.

And I don't just mean that as an insult, literally half the people in the group are homosexuals. And the beats are fucking garbation.

Yes this is true but there are a few decent ones on there solo tapes but as a group they aren't as good except in "Oldie". If you were to check out Domo Genesis and the Alchemist's album "No Idols" full of some good shit cuz Domo I think is the only real rapper in the group.

I can get into some odd future tho I just like the angry vibes and sinister feels they bring but thats just me.

you're not missing much if you've already heard "Yonkers"...it's pretty much gone all downhill from there. even Earl is starting to turn into commercially packaged whackness- case in point, this track:

i swear to God that's seriously the tempo, it's not slowed down.
this is the LEAD SINGLE off of his new album.

is anyone else as excited as i am to finally hear Earl do something that doesn't suck?
he's been on a real losing streak imo from his last 3-4 singles, but this one............holy shit.

this is why fans of Wu-Tang say that OFWGKTA is dope. i'll admit they're definitely hit-and-miss, mostly miss.
but every once in a while they get it right, and it sounds amazing.

Yeah, not sure about what you mean with losing streak. I dig Hive, but I'd say Chum/Whoa were better imo.
A couple years back I could never have imagined digging OF releases, but this year they've really turned things around imo. Wolf is one of my favorites of this year, Earl's stuff is sounding great and sure Doris will be good album, and Hody's latest single also pretty good

Seems like they're actually investing in good/better production now and their material is maturing a bit which I can appreciate.

Earl's album is the only hip hop release that has me excited this year, and domo has some great verses. other then that OF is pretty meh.

considering he put out two cuts from the album that both have videos before this one i don't see how this could be considered the LEAD SINGLE. Sorry to all the "Hip hop heads" that its not 1994 anymore but y'all need to move on.

it was the lead single off of the album before he made the smart choice of putting out a new one with a video and delaying the release of DORIS until mid-August. if you like "Guild" there's nothing i can say to stop you from having your opinions...i just don't know why the hell anyone would try and stick up for that wannabe Trinidad-James trend-hopping garbage, it's not a good song, not even when you listen to it objectively. i even put it into my DAW and sped it up-- and still, the verses are just okay, and at regular speed it sounds like some high-school skater kids trying to rap after they've overdosed on cough syrup. the beat's not even decent, idk what Earl was thinking by putting that shit out...but yeah, to each his own.

i would also disagree with most others on this thread and say that i did not like "Whoa", and "Chum" was okay but i never really got into it. so that's how i got my 1 out of 4 score that seemed to upset everyone so much lol...

Yah but they are extremely popular, so...
My point is, a lot of people like them and I don't know why.

Their music is 50% poo poo. I like thier spirit, and rebellious attitude thing, but thier music is just not that good.

Earl is weak, again, dont get the hype. For me, his track with Captain Murphy, his verse, pales in comparison to FL's. Whatever, maybe I am old.
