Skimmed through the track list and recognized most of them but does anyone know if any of these tracks are actually new?

Or...if it isn't too much to ask, can some provide a list of where the tracks are from? Like I know the Astronaut EP covers a few, a couple random 7"s cover a few as well

broad factor --- from broad factor 12", out of print.
seasons change --- was released on the b-side of an odd 45 pressed by a label called lord imanel's wax, OOP
the front --- the further adventures bonus 45, 'fan club 45 #13" OOP
youngblood --- the further adventures bonus 45, 'fan club 45 #13" OOP
astronaut --- was a 12-inch single released by a UK label (i forget the name). OOP
planned attack --- previously unmastered, unreleased
brothers can't see me --- previously unmastered, unreleased
catchin the vibe --- previously unmastered, unreleased
am i confused --- also on the astronaut 12"
sparkdala (original) --- previously unmastered, unreleased. the vocal was used on DJ Design's version
green power (original) --- this was on the stones throw white label 1
lax to jfk --- was also on the stones throw white label 1

all of these tracks were remastered by cooley. the 45 that comes with the LP is pressed from the original master made back in 99, mastered by gene grimaldi.

I listened to the full album today and it is excellent! I tend to stay away from digital rips of 12" and 45s so I hadn't heard the majority of these tracks before. Most of those previously unreleased joints are banging! 'Brothers Can't See Me' is my favorite track, The Madlib killed that flip.

also gave it a listen today, the unreleased stuff (Sparkdala, Catchin' the Vibe, etc.) sounds awesome!

Gonna have to grab it for that art. sticker is a cool idea, we'll see how "resealable" it actually is. the back cover looks dope as well, always love JJ drawing/expanding the world of Lord Quas. It'll be nice to have that Hittin' Hooks repress too, even without the sleeve. been meanin to cop that 45 forever. Still 25 bills for the 1xLP... Green Power.

While ST lets us speculate wildly and PBW promises box set, Egon adjusts expectations to a sane level on twitter.

It is a lot for one LP, but when you factor in the bonus 45 plus digital download it isn't too bad.

I just hope that sticker is on some colorforms shit.

I dont think we will ever hear any new Quas. Being that Quas is a ST act and Madlib hasn't had an official ST release in a min. Prob the same reason MV2 will prob never see the light of day. I see a Quas box set coming though...

None of these are new, these were all limited release or import tracks (Seasons Change was from the Japanese release of Further Adventures, for exapmle)...Goddamn! Youngblood sounds ridiculous with fresh mastering...I was disappointed this wasn't a new release at first but Im swiping this shit.

It was also found on the B-side of the Bullyshit 7 inch, Europe only if I remember correctly.

JJ just explained where each song comes from, and if you're reading comprehension is where it should be you'll notice that three tracks are previously unreleased which, technically speaking, means they are new (to us, the consumer).

I've heard those tracks before, though (except Catchin' the vibe and the original Spark Da La). I'll be sure to sharpen my reading comp., though, as to not upset you next time.

Excellent, the added bonus is you'll come across as a much smarter person to other people as well. Win-win situation if you ask me.

I will agree, never heard this one before and it's why I'm going to grab this now ($10 premium for a sticker is kinda rich, but I haven't heard a number of these so I guess it's worth it).

Edit: Oh wow, the price is worth it to me now. ST's new way of delivering MP3 copy is sweet, instead of waiting for the stupid redeem token now it's just bundled as download. If ST did this with every vinyl I wouldn't have to download crap waiting for my physical release to show up in the mail.

Yeah its been a minute since ST has graced us with instrumentals of any release. The last one I remember was the drip release of The Quakers Instrumentals.

Thanks for the heads up Mr Meadows! They got it on pre order they still charge over half the price of the album to ship it out to me! They also have a pre order available for the Further Adventures Instrumentals w/ picture cover!

On a side note I've just realised I got a flight out of LAX on the 19th... This record is due out on the 18th right... Could I bang on the door at Stones Throw and cop one direct? Haha. Or would Amoeba or any other record shop be stockin it ?

No sweat. I'm sure most record stores worth their weight will have this on hand as soon as they get them. That being said, sometimes it takes a store a little while after the release dates ST puts up. Amoeba is a big enough outlet and this record a big enough deal that it warrants vinyl copies sitting on the shelf by the time the doors open. Also remember, your likelihood of getting a copy with the bonus 7" is probably dwarfed if you cop at the retail level. Things to keep in mind before deciding that the S&H is too pricey.

Just copped directly via the Stones Throw store!

Sunny, when I read your post it struck fear into my eyes at the thought of not getting the 7" too! You'd make a good salesman bro haha.

Copped the Madvillain XL poster while I was in the store too.. Was surprised it was still available.

Peace!
