StonesThrowBeat Battle #316

· Flip the sample to make a beat (see below for Production Rules)

· Upload your beat to the STMB Page

Production rules:

· 2 minute time limit

· outside drums and bass are allowed

· keys/synths/other instruments are allowed (additional. Use the Samples as basis)

· Try not to use acapellas



. EDIT EXTRA RULE: You have to include some kind of country or folk sample ind you beat. Either in a breakdown or throughout the beat...



· cuts/scratches are permitted at this time

haha well its a pretty easy rule actually, you can just add some country to the intro or outro or something like that, so people propably won't have a hard time with it anyway... ;) but im all for challenges, just couldn't come up with any good one myself, so thanks odk;)

Yeah, it is kinda vague. Folk does cover a wide sound and ethnicity. I'd say go for it, because american folk came from everywhere else first. lol ;)

That's how I felt about the last one, so I started with 'garbage' and ended with 'garbage'. I sat down with this one yesterday and made a pretty nice tune in about 30 minutes. Just don't force it and get the percussion in the sample to lay in your drums. Worked like a charm.
