just a quick question, did Dilla ever do things similar to Madlib like mixing all different songs and releasing them? not necessarily his own music, but music he likes/has inspired him?

just wondering because i love the shit like the even numbered medicine shows and when madlib gets on Giles Peterson, and have always wondered if Dilla used to do the same thing

Rupert - Dilla doesnt have any DJ mixtapes released. I don't know that he has any even recorded. He didn't do DJ sets as commonly as Madlib. The one time i saw him play records for people was at Stones Throw's "100th release" event back in 2004 -- the photo below by Kiwamu Omae was taken there -- too bad we didn't have the night recorded.
