Hi, I would like to know if there are other producers doing madlibish beats, i mean beats which are sometimes composed of two or three "minibeats", do you know what i mean?. I would like to know if you know any beats like these not made by Madlib. Thank you.

Yup, in fact i listened Flylo first, then all of the new beat heads, now i'm going to the roots of the "nu beat scene". Though the only one I heard using this "two-or-three-beats-in-a-beat" trick (somehow) was Dem Hunger.

I'll listen to Kankick, any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks again.

I totally forgot about Ras G.

Ras G is almost litterally what Madlib would sound like if he went the Electronic route. I swear Ras G is channeling Madlib at points.

>Jneiro Jarel has all sorts of crazy beats and alternate personalities

I know, but i mean beats which are 2 or 3 beats one after one like "crate digga station", madvillain's "do not fire" or many of Quas' beats

>Sir Froderick, Jeremiah Jae, Kankick, Knxwledge, Ahnnu, Swarvy

Will check all of those. Knx's beat 9 of Klemintine taype is a perfect example of what i mean.

>Ras G is almost litterally what Madlib would sound like if he went the Electronic route. I swear Ras G is channeling Madlib at points.

Yeah! Ras is Great!

As i said before thanks for all suggestions, if you know specific beats (of any beatmaker) using this trick that would do for me too.

What about Mainframe? (of Johnson&Jonson)

His beat tape "Jonson family vacation" has a bit of a Madlib feel to me.

I realize a whole bunch of folks who do beats on here would probably be just as eligible for this but I get called madlib-ish all the time. Here's how I flip it: http://mawone.bandcamp.com/

Not even trying to go all promo or nothin. Kankick and Ras G are very good suggestions. I would also throw in Moka Only's instrumental stuff. Check out the Station Agent or pretty much any of the Martian Xmas albums. A lot of stuff gets crammed into singular tracks on there.
