Gave the whole record quite a few listens today and I have to say that I am very impressed. The production is excellent and seamless from front to back. Thank you ST and Dave Dub for giving us some of that dirty ass hip hop we all love so much.

Does everyone remember last year when all of those people were complaining abotu ST not putting out enough hip hop? Now we've gotten Homeboy Sandman, Quakers, and Dave Dub, with Jonwayne, Strong Arm Steady, and probably some Madlib in the near future, and we're not even halfway through the year.

This is going to be a good year for Stones Throw.

Maybe all that complaining did some good.

Also very impressed with this album. Dave Dub's verses are the weaker point for me, sorta hit or miss (more hit than miss though, for sure). He reminds me a little of Sole on this joint actually.
The beats are consistently awesome including the instrumentals, as is the whole vibe of the album. Real refreshing, throwback tone. can't wait for the 2xlp

Picked up the vinyl a few days ago. Dub's linear notes inside the gatefold are excellent. Glad to see a download card is included as well. Good work ST!

This shit sounds like something that would've come out on Fondle 'em Records back in 97. Good stuff.

The soundscape Tape Mastah Steph created for The Treatment was impeccable, so I'm very excited to give this a listen. Hopefully we'll be hearing more from the beatsmith in the near future. Thanks for the free download ST and Steph!

Just going through the ST catalog and was kind of bummed when I noticed Dave doesn't have an artist page on the main site.

Anybody have some of this guy's earlier stuff?

A few months ago I was finally able to track down the Executive Lounge LP which has, amongst others, some contributions from Dave Dub but also some solid verses from 50 Grand the Visitor from Homeliss Deriliex. Architect from HD does all the production as well. If any of you guys come across it I recommend picking it up.

came across this old thread looking for what Dub's been up to and also dug up his old artist page.

He put out this single in March with Haez One but I couldn't find anything about a full length.

^ Good looks! liking the track a lot.

Dave Dub is so great, really loved The Treatment. It's sad he seems to be gone from the label, they should have pushed him harder, though it's partially on me for letting him slip from my mind. wonder what the specifics of his deal was, just a one-off?

Looks like "Broken Uglies" is the next thing to be on the lookout for though.

Also found this cool punk album he made in 2010.  This eggblood remix of the title track is pretty crazy:

Death Grips type shit
