I really love to see peoples record collections - probably because mine is so small seeing other people's allows me to daydream of how mine will look someday.

So just post a picture of your collection.

how is that spank rock album??? i ordered it yesterday and cant wait to hear it out... i've been waiting too long to buy this shit. saw em live this summer at a festival and it was probably one of the best concerts of 2006 for me.. and i saw a lot really. damn, i dont think i've ever seen a crowd go that crazy.. .people jumpin like a rock concert but dancin' like it was some House type of ish at the same time.. great!!

anyways here's my collection.. it aint big, but it aint small either.. but it's sufficient right now.

Just kidding. Those are by goofy, Dutch neighbors from downstairs. They're in a band called Van Gun. It's like a bad Ratt coverband. Can't say I'm feelin' it.

it's great! yeh, it's some crazy shit. you have to be in the right mood for it; i didn't get it at first. but now i love it. the beats are so fucked up; it's brilliant. it's really great to just bang on your ipod when you're in school aswell; it gears you up.

Yo man,

I've been listening to hip-hop since 87 or 88, I started buying hip-hop vinyl in 1993 seriously (I had some pieces before that but no turntables).... I've been collecting jazz/funk, etc. seriously since about 2000 (before then I didn't really know a thing and I'm kicking myself for the ignorance, especially since I was living in Houston at the time and there was tons of funk everywhere when I went "diggin" for hip-hop). About a couple of years later, in about 2002, I found myself dealing ad trading records and that.... living in Australia and Japan gave me access to records that people didn't really know about and allowed me to expose them and flip them in trades to producers, other heads, etc... I've probably only bought about 15-20 records in my life on eBay... and that was when I started. Australia ain't the best place for records, and traveling had a lot to do with the "depth" in my collection, thats for sure.

But anyways, who knows how much I've spent... *A LOT*, but I've sold records for a lot too.. a lot of the bigger jams came out of trades or just pure luck when out in the field... I'm a record junkie. Currently I'm living in Taiwan and been diggin' for the Chinese funk!

Best finds out my diggin' travels were Nico Gomez for 50 cents in Australia and Roy Porter - Inner Feelings for $1.50 in Taiwan...

Glad ya'll dig the pictures!

peace.
